I love horror so most of this facinates me but those are my two real fears together with illness's <3
I hateeee roachessssss :[
Y'missed spiders. SO many people would vote for spiders I bet you. (or did you leave them out on purpose? I could see them being overdone)
Generally speaking, I'm a horror fan and don't get scared by things that go bump in the night or that live under the bed. That being said, I have a real terror of clowns (and not just the creepy ones, but any of them! Those people are craaaazy!) Don't like old ball-jointed dolls with the glass eyes. I also have a recurring nightmare of going down a long hallway with lots of identical doors and trying to find the way out.
I have to agree with the spiders.......Also being buried alive is a real fear. Posseessed items like dolls are also pretty damn creepy.
I am an absolute horror obsessed thrall to the fears of others, and I can't get enough of articulating those kinds of fantasies in my roleplays. That being said, I often get the greatest responses from spiders - perfect bio-mechanical critters of nearly unrivaled adaptation. Inspirations from sources like John Carpenter's "The Thing" (1982), and Magic: the Gathering's extra-dimensional species, the Eldrazi, have also received strong responses.
I would strongly recommend something unusual, not easily identified and even alien to most typical appearances and human understanding. Xenophobia as we all know is a widely adopted human fear.
P.S. I love, love, love your work and often use at least one piece on my Second Life avatars, if not many.
