Whether you are a creator, a customer, a blogger, or a land owner, etc. I think respect in all directions is very important and SHOULD be common sense. Yes this is going to be a little rant lol.. I don't normally like to advertise negativity in any way, but I think too often, people forget common courtesy.
People think that they can walk into your store, and tell you off, threaten to report you because they don't like something, bad mouth your store and yourself etc, to get a refund or whatever it is they want.... I don't know if other people fall for this, but I certainly don't and never will.
These things don't hurt me personally it's usually just pretty annoying, usually when someone approaches me with a negative attitude, I just kinda direct my attention somewhere else, because if you are going to be rude with me then I'm not even going to bother to help you, because I don't feel like being talked down to and me nor anyone else deserves to be treated like that. And chances are there's nothing I can do or even want to do at that point to make you happy anyway, you're just venting your hatred at me or something. But you certainly don't need to insult and bash me for help or assistance with an item. But what really bothers me is why people think they can act like this. Like they think you as a creator or sim owner, etc just OWE IT TO THEM.
Now anyone who has ever talked to me who wasn't just a rude asshat right off the bat for no reason probably knows that I'm a pretty nice lady and always willing to help, because of course I want people to be happy with my products, I think that's very important, and I know that my taste and my size does not always work well for everyone. But if you are unsure of a product... then don't buy it. Don't assume it looks like something else other than the picture, or assume it comes with scripts, accessories, and other things not advertised and then blame me the creator and threaten to report me to Linden Labs and all that jazz because I wont refund your money because my store policy which you didn't bother to read clearly states I don't give refunds. You can't return the product, so I shouldn't have to return the money. Not to mention there's NO way to tell when someone is simply lying for free stuff, and Ive gotten that a LOT. Pretending they bought something that they didn't even actually buy. No refunds means no refunds. Walking in with a stick up your rear is no special exception. GOOD DAY SIR!
And I'm not asking anyone to suck up and kiss my rear end when they approach me. But you don't need to be like... Hey you suck, your store sucks, give me a refund.
But on the flip side, for those of you who have been great customers, thank you so much! I seriously appreciate it more than you know. You make my job a thousand times easier and more enjoyable. A simple compliment and positive attitude goes a long ways and really brightens my day. And these negative nancies are nothing in comparison to the number of wonderful supporters I have. There is no better satisfaction then seeing a happy customer who has really enjoyed my work and made something great with it. So just really thank you guys so much for being great and supporting my work. I would be nowhere without you. <3
